Anatole is the first brand dedicated to sturdy, lightweight and ultra-compact mini folding umbrellas.

Because of its pocket format and its technology, we call it a ‘micro umbrella’: a new version of the mini umbrella that offers an unbeatable size/strength ratio.

When folded, an ANATOLE mini umbrella is barely bigger than a smartphone (17.5cm). On the other hand, when open, its 7 ribs give it a large diameter (84cm) equally suitable for a woman’s or man’s umbrella. What’s more, its 7-ribbed frame is more wind-resistant than an ordinary 6-ribbed micro umbrella.

The Anatole folding umbrella also features all the latest technical developments to make it as strong and light as possible.

Finally, we stand out for our choice of noble materials, like our wooden handles, the gros grain hand-strap and the metal press-stud… never before seen on such a small pocket umbrella.

When you’re planning to buy a folding umbrella, you’ll be wondering whether a manual or automatic opening/closing system is the best option.

The main thing to have in mind is that the automatic mechanism adds considerable weight to the mini umbrella. As far as ANATOLE is concerned, as we wanted to offer you the lightest umbrella possible (220g) – while respecting the essential criteria of sturdiness – we opted for a manual system. An automatic system would almost double the weight of our micro umbrella.

What’s more, umbrella repair professionals are unanimous: automatic umbrellas are returned to the after-sales service more frequently than manual ones. This is because the automatic opening/closing system is more complex and more likely to ‘jam’.

In short, if you want a mini umbrella with the best chance of being both solid and light, choose a compact umbrella with a manual opening/closing system!
